Breakestra
Formed in Los Angeles between 1996 and 1997 by multi-instrumentalist Miles Tackett—whose cello work has appeared on recordings by Macy Gray, Bebel Gilberto, and Blind Melon—Breakestra is a "constantly morphing hip-hop orchestra" born from a desire to perform instrumental hip-hop in a live band context.
